Previously requiring a two-step process with intermediate copies, this streamlined approach reduces recovery point objectives (RPOs), eliminates intermediate storage costs, and removes the need for custom monitoring scripts. The feature helps protect against ransomware and Region outages by simplifying cross-Region and cross-account backup workflows.
