AWS Transit Gateway now supports Flexible Cost Allocation (FCA), allowing organizations to distribute network costs more flexibly. Instead of only the sender-pay model, you can now allocate data processing and transfer costs to source accounts, destination accounts, or central Transit Gateway accounts using metering policies. FCA supports attachment-level and flow-level granularity, works with middle-box deployments like AWS Network Firewall, and enables multiple cost allocation models on a single Transit Gateway. Available in all commercial AWS regions at no additional charge.
