Vercel Sandbox now supports automatic persistence in beta, allowing sandboxes to save their filesystem state when stopped and restore it when resumed. The feature separates storage from compute, eliminating manual snapshotting. The beta SDK introduces named sandboxes, transparent session resumption, resource scaling, session/snapshot inspection, and sandbox listing. The beta CLI adds configuration management and session inspection commands. Persistence is enabled by default but can be disabled per session. State storage is not charged; users only pay when a session is active. Available on all plans via `@vercel/sandbox@beta` and `sandbox@beta` packages.
