Claude Code Routines lets you automate recurring developer tasks on Anthropic-managed cloud infrastructure. Routines can be triggered on a schedule (hourly, daily, weekly), via HTTP API endpoint, or in response to GitHub events like pull requests, pushes, and issues. Use cases include backlog maintenance, alert triage, automated code review, deploy verification, docs drift detection, and cross-SDK library porting. Routines run autonomously as full Claude Code cloud sessions with access to connected MCP connectors, GitHub repositories, and configurable environments. They can be created from the web UI, CLI (/schedule), or Desktop app, and count against your account's daily run allowance.
