AWS has released new Aurora DSQL connectors for Go (pgx), Python (asyncpg), and Node.js (WebSocket for Postgres.js) that automate IAM authentication when connecting to Aurora DSQL clusters. These connectors act as transparent authentication layers, automatically generating IAM tokens per connection without requiring manual token management code. The Postgres.js connector also adds WebSocket protocol support for environments where TCP connections are unavailable. All three connectors support custom IAM credential providers and eliminate security risks tied to traditional password-based authentication.
