A hardware hacker known as ManicMods (Jeff) gutted a classic 1990s Bentley portable CRT TV and transformed the spacious case into a hi-fi portable home theater system. The build features a stereo and subwoofer combo, a new display with a 3D-printed bezel, a Raspberry Pi running moOde audio player, a high-quality DAC, and a 1 TB SSD loaded with uncompressed audio. The system is highly modular, with extended ports, retro game controller support, and a wireless keyboard/trackpad, while preserving the original TV's external aesthetic including the tuning display and control knobs.
