Atlus is revising its compensation system starting April, raising entry-level monthly salaries from 300,000 yen to 330,000 yen and increasing base yearly salaries for all full-time and contract employees by approximately 15 percent. The company is also reducing fixed monthly overtime from 30 hours to 20 hours. The move is framed as an investment in employee creativity and productivity. Parent company Sega made a similar announcement in November, also raising entry-level salaries to 330,000 yen and boosting existing employee base pay by around 10 percent. The trend extends across the Japanese games industry, with Capcom and Konami also raising salaries in recent years.
