Microsoft has announced that ASP.NET Core 2.3 will reach end of support on April 7, 2027, providing the required 12 months advance notice. After that date, no security patches, bug fixes, or technical support will be provided. Existing applications will continue to run, but will be exposed to unpatched security vulnerabilities. Microsoft recommends upgrading to a currently supported version such as .NET 10 (LTS) and suggests using GitHub Copilot App Modernization to assist with the migration process.
