When you click on a card in one of the feeds to comment, we will now show you our new article modal, instead of a new page. We have introduced next and previous article buttons, coupled with left and right arrow key navigation. We also made the UI far more intuitive with a nice big "read article" button once you have read the TLDR and decide this article is worth a read!

I really love it! Cool user experience and having shortcuts is great.
But I want to describe an issue I once faced in my career. We named it modal hell. I’ve been working as employee engagement front-end developer and one of the features we were working was newsfeed and new post modal. Initially it was okay, but with new customer requests it became much worse in user experience. We had modal for delivery options, modal for expiration date, modal for the scope of delivery. And all these modals inside new post modal. And it’s terrible when you need to close one modal, open another and go back if you need to check some options you recently set or something like this.
I think article modal is much better for now, but remember my case if you are going to add new features to this modal, maybe it will be better to switch back to a separate page

i think it’s a better apporoach to give the user the option to chose between the modal and the old way of opening the comment section. since still we can access the old method with using the url of the post in daily.dev its not that hard to make it optional
