AppSignal's MCP server has moved from beta to preview with OAuth support replacing static bearer tokens. The new remote HTTP connection via mcp.appsignal.com eliminates the need for a local Docker container, enables one-click install from the MCP Registry, and supports GitHub Copilot alongside existing editors like Cursor, Windsurf, JetBrains, and Zed. The toolset has expanded to 24 tools across seven areas including performance traces with full span trees, log querying and processing, anomaly trigger management (now with create/archive support), metrics, dashboards, and app discovery.
