When Apple unveiled the new Liquid Glass design at WWDC 2025, it instantly became one of the most talked-about UI changes in recent memory. Some people loved it, others were skeptical — but one thing’s for sure: it sparked serious design curiosity.
Personally, I’m a fan of it.
The soft gradients, optical distortions, and fluid animations feel like a fresh take on glassmorphism — more dynamic, more responsive, and way more alive. As someone who loves building beautiful UIs (and happens to really like Vue 3), I couldn’t resist the idea of bringing this aesthetic into my favorite frontend framework.
So I built SolaraUI — a Vue 3 component library that recreates the core principles of Apple’s new design system:
Liquid distortion effects with SVG filters
Real-time mouse tracking and glow
Smooth, Apple-style animations
Fully responsive and easily themeable
The library is still in early stages, but it already includes polished components like Card, Button, Modal and Input.
