A bug in iOS 26 removed the caron/háček character from the Czech keyboard, locking some iPhone users out of their devices if they used that character in a custom alphanumeric passcode. Apple became aware of the issue via a Reddit post by university student Connor Byrne and is now working on a fix for an upcoming iOS 26 release. Byrne, whose iPhone 13 remains inaccessible with valuable photos trapped on it, says he still plans to switch to Android despite Apple's quick response.
