MagSafe is back on the 2021 MacBook Pro. The connector is, happily, back — in improved form. It’s joined by an SD card slot, HDMI port and a row of function keys. There are three USB-C ports on-board — down from four on 13-inch.

<p>I’m not an Apple Mac user so I probably don’t get the hype behind mag safe. To me it’s just another way Apple keeps its users nice and tightly inside their proprietary tech bubble.</p>
<p>The M1 one the other hand, that’s a cool upgrade. Together with the SD card reader it can be a great device for content creators.</p>
