The Apache Flink Community is pleased to announce the first bug fix release of the Flink 2.0 series.
This release includes 51 bug fixes, vulnerability fixes, and minor improvements for Flink 2.0. Below you will find a list of all bug fixes and improvements (excluding improvements to the build infrastructure and build stability). For a complete list of all changes, please see: JIRA.
We highly recommend all users upgrade to Flink 2.

Apache Flink 2.0.1 has been released with 51 bug fixes, vulnerability patches, and minor improvements. Key fixes include resolving memory leaks in skewed join optimization, addressing checkpoint recovery issues after rescaling, fixing watermark alignment deadlocks, and patching security vulnerabilities in PyFlink logging. The release also updates dependencies including Parquet to 1.15.2 and Log4j to 2.24.3 for critical security fixes. Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade from earlier Flink 2.0 versions.
