Anthropic is splitting billing for Claude subscriptions starting June 15, creating a separate monthly credit pool for programmatic usage via the Agent SDK. This covers claude -p, Claude Code GitHub Actions, Python/TypeScript SDK usage, and third-party apps built on the Agent SDK. Credit amounts vary by plan: Pro gets $20, Max 5x gets $100, Max 20x gets $200. Credits don't roll over and are non-transferable. If credits run out, users can either enable pay-as-you-go API billing or cap their programmatic usage until the next cycle. This reverses a policy from just a month ago that had removed third-party tool coverage from subscriptions entirely.
