Anthropic has identified large-scale model distillation attacks carried out by Chinese AI labs DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax. These organizations allegedly created over 24,000 fraudulent accounts and conducted more than 16 million interactions with Claude to systematically extract its capabilities and use them to train their own competing models.
