Anthropic launches Claude Mythos Preview through Project Glasswing, giving select partners access to its most capable model for cybersecurity defense.

Anthropic has officially launched Claude Mythos Preview, a frontier AI model more capable than its current Opus flagship, through a restricted program called Project Glasswing. Rather than a public release, access is limited to select partners including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, and the Linux Foundation for defensive cybersecurity work. The model scores 83.1% on the CyberGym benchmark versus Opus 4.6's 66.6%, and has already identified thousands of zero-day vulnerabilities, including a 27-year-old OpenBSD bug. Anthropic is providing $100 million in usage credits to participants and $4 million in donations to open-source security organizations, with a broader public launch planned for the future.
