Anthropic has updated Claude to generate interactive charts, diagrams, and visualizations inline during conversations, rolling out as a beta to all users on all plan types. Unlike permanent document artifacts, these visuals are ephemeral and change throughout a conversation. Claude can create them on demand or proactively when a graphic best answers a question. The feature has some limitations: occasional inaccuracies and slower generation times compared to a quick web search. The move comes days after OpenAI launched dynamic visual explanations in ChatGPT, and follows Google's interactive charts for Gemini Ultra subscribers ($200/month) from last December — though Anthropic is making its version free for all users.
