Anthropic introduced a plugin system for Cowork, its AI assistant for knowledge workers. The plugins bundle skills, connectors, slash commands, and sub-agents to customize Claude for specific roles and workflows. Anthropic released 11 open-source plugins covering use cases like productivity, sales, marketing, finance, legal, and customer support. Unlike Claude Code which targets developers, Cowork plugins are designed for non-technical users with file system-based installation through the app interface. The feature is available to Claude Pro and Max subscribers.
