Anthropic has doubled Claude Code's five-hour rate limits across Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans, and removed peak-hours throttling for Pro and Max users. API rate limits for Claude Opus models have also been raised. The capacity increase is enabled by a new compute agreement with SpaceX, giving Anthropic access to all of Colossus 1 data centre's capacity — over 300 megawatts and 220,000+ Nvidia GPUs. This joins a growing list of compute deals including agreements with Amazon (up to 5 GW), Google and Broadcom (5 GW), Microsoft and Nvidia ($30B Azure capacity), and Fluidstack ($50B). Anthropic also expressed interest in orbital AI compute with SpaceX, though no deal is signed yet.
