Here’s my issue with this:
Why did it need to be acquired? Why not just be a significant funder and supporter?
Svelte, Bun, PayloadCMS, and I few others I can’t recall at the moment. OSS that is being acquired by larger for-profit companies.
Maybe I’m just growing too cynical but I feel like if they really DID care about OSS, they’d use it and support it via regular donations and contributions. The need to own OSS by these large companies feels like something we should be concerned about.

be ready for a Bun CE edition and Bun Pro, like is already happening with Vite
in the other hand, it’s normal that at the end of the day those devs have to eat. Open source is hard when you invest a lot of time and you don’t see any compensation
