KubeVirt v1.8 has been released, aligning with Kubernetes v1.35. Key highlights include: Intel TDX Attestation support for confidential VMs, a new Hypervisor Abstraction Layer enabling multiple hypervisor backends beyond KVM, PCIe NUMA topology awareness for AI/HPC workloads, promotion of the `passt` network binding to core, live NAD reference updates without VM restarts, two new storage features (ContainerPath volumes and Incremental Backup with Changed Block Tracking), and scale testing up to 8000 VMIs with published memory benchmarks. The release also reflects growing community engagement through the VEP process.
