Datadog has released Terraform provider v4.0.0, a major version with four key improvements: predictable monitor governance (restricted_roles is now sticky by default, deprecated locked field removed), a unified AWS integration resource (datadog_integration_aws_account replaces four legacy resources), hardened credential security (application key data source removed to support one-time read keys), and an upgrade from Terraform Plugin SDK v2 to the Terraform plugin framework implementing protocol v6. Teams on v3 can continue using existing configurations until ready to migrate.
