Announcing Screenshots API: Generate pixel-perfect webpage screenshots on demand

Appwrite launched a Screenshots API that generates webpage screenshots through a single API call. The service eliminates the need to maintain headless browser infrastructure like Puppeteer or Playwright. Users can customize viewport size, device scale, theme (light/dark), locale, timezone, geolocation, and browser permissions. The API supports use cases including visual documentation, link previews, QA testing across devices, responsive layout validation, and web archiving. It's available now as part of Appwrite Avatars and is already used in production by Imagine for real-time project previews.
