PowerShell 7.6 is now generally available as the next Long Term Support (LTS) release, built on .NET 10 (LTS). Key improvements include updates to core modules (PSReadLine, PSResourceGet, ThreadJob), dozens of tab completion enhancements, new parameters for existing cmdlets like Get-Clipboard and Get-Command, engine improvements including PSForEach() and PSWhere() aliases, and promotion of several experimental features to mainstream. A small number of breaking changes are included, such as converting Join-Path's -ChildPath parameter to accept string arrays. As an LTS release, it is the recommended version for production automation environments.
