Announcing Flux 2.6 GA

Flux v2.6.0 introduces General Availability of OCI Artifacts support, enabling Gitless GitOps where container registries serve as the source of truth instead of Git repositories. Key features include digest pinning for image automation, object-level workload identity for multi-tenant clusters, enhanced GitHub App authentication, and improved notifications with customizable commit status identifiers. The release also adds sparse checkout support for Git repositories, mTLS authentication, and various controller improvements while maintaining backward compatibility with previous API versions.
