The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) has appointed Daniel Ruggeri as its new Executive Vice President. Ruggeri's involvement with the ASF began when he submitted a patch to the Apache HTTP Server while working as a server administrator at Mastercard. He later became a committer, presented at ApacheCon, and served on the ASF board from 2019 to 2021. In his EVP role, he plans to focus on servant leadership and operational excellence, leveraging his background in web and cloud infrastructure, large team management, and budget oversight.
