Code Hike 1.0 is now stable — an open-source library that bridges Markdown and React for building rich, interactive technical content. The release introduces two major features: fine-grained Markdown, which lets you parse and decompose Markdown into structured, type-safe pieces renderable as React components (with Zod schema support); and headless codeblocks, which allow you to build fully custom code block component libraries with annotations, tooltips, diffs, and more. It works with Next.js, Remix, Docusaurus, Nextra, and Fuma Docs (not Astro). Primary use cases include code walkthroughs, interactive documentation, tutorials, and content-heavy websites.
