Buildship 2.0, the official Gradle plugin for Eclipse, is now available on the Eclipse Marketplace. Key additions include composite build support (letting multiple separate Gradle projects be treated as one, eliminating snapshot workflows), a redesigned UI with color-blind-friendly icons and HiDPI support, a simplified import wizard, more accurate project synchronization, offline mode support via workspace preferences, and a new InvocationCustomizer extension point for third-party Eclipse plugins. Breaking changes include minimum Java 1.7 and Eclipse 4.2 requirements, and removal of JAVA_HOME/JVM argument configuration from the import wizard in favor of gradle.properties.
