AWS launched WorkSpaces Core Managed Instances, a new service that simplifies virtual desktop infrastructure migrations by providing highly customizable EC2-based instances within customer AWS accounts. The service handles infrastructure lifecycle management for both persistent and non-persistent workloads while allowing organizations to use existing AWS discounts and Savings Plans. It supports various instance types including accelerated graphics instances and is available in all AWS regions where WorkSpaces is supported.
