GnuPG 2.5.19 has been released, bringing new features and bug fixes. Key additions include new gpg options --use-ocb-sym and --show-[only-]session-hash, improved gpgsm cipher mode handling, and better pinentry behavior for smartcard contexts. Bug fixes address edge cases in --refresh-keys, RSA padding in SSH signature handling, PKCS#12 certificate import compatibility with German Telekom certificates, and gpgtar directory checking. The 2.5 series focuses on 64-bit Windows improvements and introduces Kyber (ML-KEM/FIPS-203) as a post-quantum cryptography encryption algorithm. The older 2.4 series reaches end-of-life in two months, making this a recommended upgrade.
