AnduinOS 1.3.9 users can now upgrade to version 1.4.2 using the automated `do_anduinos_upgrade` command. The upgrade is strongly recommended before January 30, 2026, when the upstream Ubuntu 25.04 base reaches end of life. The process takes 1-2 hours, migrates repositories from plucky to questing, downloads the new ISO, and replaces system files. Users must backup data beforehand as the upgrade may overwrite custom kernel configurations and initramfs modifications. Recovery commands are available if the upgrade fails.
