Google is developing a new feature for Android 16 called Android Desktop Mode, similar to Samsung's DeX. It allows smartphones, such as Google Pixel, to function as desktop computers when connected to a monitor. The mode offers a PC-like interface with a taskbar, apps in windowed mode, and display management settings. Although currently in beta, the full release may be postponed to future Android updates.
