Shopify's GraphQL Admin API now supports analytics metric targets via four new operations: query, create, update, and delete. Merchants can set numeric goals for metrics like gross sales, track progress with visual gauges, and apps can read/write the same targets shown in the Shopify admin. Key features include deduplication by metric/date/filter, automatic status computation, and dimension-based filtering via ShopifyQL. Use cases include goal-setting apps, BI tools, planning apps, and agency dashboards. API version 2026-04 also adds two new ColumnDataType enum values for dimensionless scores and ratio/multiplier values.
