The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a piece of legislation that requires industries operating in or selling within the EU to ensure accessibility in their products and services. It aims to coordinate accessibility standards across member states and increase accessibility to a wider range of services.

What happens if my product or service is not accessible?

This is a very important step. Make sure to check out the regulations for your target country within the EU as some countries tend to be even more strict with their laws as the EAA is just a “minimum” of what has to be done.
Also the EAA is a addition, not a replacement, for already existing laws.
In germany for example you have multiple Laws, in Berlin you also have another additional law (LADG) which aims for anti discrimination, but includes accessibility in a broader sense.
So make sure to talk with your lawyers of how you have to implement it for you specific market. Or just go way and beyond by fully complying to WCAG 2 :)
