Amper 0.10.0 is released with several new features: automatic JDK provisioning (configurable via module.yaml with version and distribution preferences), a semi-automated Maven-to-Amper project converter that handles dependencies, BOMs, repositories, and plugins, and support for third-party Kotlin compiler plugins. IDE improvements include a reworked run configuration UX, run gutters for native apps, better JUnit 5 test names, Ktor plugin assistance, and JVM profiling support in IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate. Default versions for Kotlin, Compose, Ktor, Spring Boot, and other toolchains have also been updated.

I’m curious what Amper offers over Gradle.
I don’t use Gradle for multi-platform projects, so maybe that’s where it shines. Regardless I’m fairly content with Gradle and don’t currently have any major gripes with it.
Gradle is a fairly mature build tool at this point, so I’m not really sure what the allure of Amper is supposed to be for professionals.
