American hype

“There’s no country on earth that does hype better than America.”
Uh have you been to China, Japan, or Korea? They make waiting in line for iPhones look like your average Tuesday.
“Most Europeans are allergic to anything that even smells like a commercial promise of a better tomorrow.”
I highlighted “commercial” because the word is important in this context, because it’s somewhat sad that America is dependent on the trickle-down commerciality for a “better tomorrow,” whereas in Europe it is more equitable. Likely why they have better quality of life, in general.

Interesting thought. Whereas I personally think I have that skeptical bit in my brain regarding “hype” - I mean once I see something as “hype” I become skeptical. That said I was always kind of attracted to this part of American culture - the ability to go all in to make huge ventures (sometimes regardless of the costs). Isn’t that the core piece of what we call the American Dream though?
Usually, there are no big gains without risk and Europe’s history is full of big, risky, unprecedented projects but that part of our culture seem to be dulled in regulations and preference for stability over progress.
Sometimes profitable is not the same as worth it and the other way around;)
