The power management and ACPI subsystem updates have been merged for Linux 7.1. Key AMD additions include CPPC Performance Priority, Dynamic Energy Performance Preference (EPP), and Raw EPP support in the amd_pstate driver, benefiting modern Ryzen and EPYC systems. On the Intel side, Panther Lake gains a C-states table in the Intel Idle driver, and the Intel RAPL Power Capping driver received low-level cleanup. The ACPI pull also brings CMOS RTC driver updates, ACPI FPDT parsing on LoongArch, Performance Limited Register support, and other improvements.
