AMD has submitted additional AMDGPU kernel graphics driver updates to DRM-Next targeting the Linux 7.1 merge window in April. The latest batch includes fixes, support for the new AMD GFX/GC 12.1 target (a new RDNA4 variant), IP discovery updates, Display Core Next 4.2 updates, PSP 15 updates, and first-time enablement of LSDMA 7.1 IP. Also included is NV12/P010 support on primary planes and color encoding/range support on overlay planes, part of Claude Code AI-assisted color management improvements for AMD on Linux.
