AMD has released GAIA 0.17, introducing Agent UI — a privacy-first web application for running AI agents locally on Ryzen AI hardware. The Agent UI, built with React/TypeScript and Electron, supports document analysis with RAG and page-level citations across 53+ file formats, safe shell command execution with user approval guardrails, file search, real-time reasoning visualization, session persistence, and performance monitoring. Remote access is enabled via a built-in ngrok tunnel. The release also includes Ryzen AI and Radeon hardware detection improvements and pairs with the recently released Lemonade SDK 10.0 and FastFlowLM 0.9.35 for Ryzen AI NPU support on Linux.
