A developer has submitted patches to the Linux kernel in 2026 to add suspend and resume support for the AMD InterWave ISA sound card driver — hardware from the 1990s. The 3-patch series wires up PM callbacks for the InterWave ISA and PnP drivers, adds a TEA6330T helper to restore external mixer state after resume, and restores InterWave-specific state not covered by the generic GUS resume path. The change amounts to just under 200 lines of code.
