The latest AMDGPU/AMDKFD pull request for Linux 7.1 introduces two major enhancements: multi-SDMA engine support for buffer fills and clears, and a new DC Idle State Manager. The multi-SDMA optimization exposes all available SDMA copy engines using round-robin scheduling, enabling faster buffer clears and memory migrations in vRAM-heavy workloads. The DC Idle State Manager uses hysteresis to delay idle state transitions, preventing power regressions caused by rapid toggling of Panel Self Refresh and Panel Replay optimizations. Additional fixes include UserQ improvements, DVI fixes (contributed by Valve's Timur Kristóf), EDP DSC seamless boot support, GFX 11.5.4 updates, and AMDKFD non-4K kernel page size fixes.
