AMD has staged the first batch of AMDGPU and AMDKFD kernel driver updates targeting the Linux 7.1 cycle. Key additions include enabling Display Core Next v4.2 (DCN 4.2) IP for upcoming AMD hardware, further GFX 12.1 (RDNA4) updates including 57-bit scratch memory address support tied to 5-level page table work, and enabling Display Core by default for GCN 1.1 / Sea Islands APUs with new NUTMEG and TRAVIS DisplayPort bridge support. Additional changes cover user queue updates, ring reset improvements, and SDMA updates. The Linux 7.1 merge window opens in mid-April.
