AWS WorkSpaces now supports USB redirection for virtual desktops running the DCV protocol, allowing users to connect local USB peripherals like credit card readers and 3D mice to their cloud-based Windows environments. The feature is currently limited to WorkSpaces Personal with Windows desktops accessed from Windows clients, and administrators can control device access through allowlists. Available across all AWS regions where WorkSpaces is offered.
