Amazon has unveiled new chips, AWS Trainium2 and Graviton4, designed for training and running AI models. Trainium2 offers better performance and energy efficiency than its predecessor and can train a 300-billion parameter AI large language model in weeks. Graviton4 provides improved compute performance, more cores, and enhanced memory bandwidth.
