Einride, the Swedish electric trucking startup, has signed a deal to deploy 75 heavy-duty electric trucks into Amazon's Relay freight network, along with charging infrastructure at five US locations. Amazon won't own the trucks — Einride will manage them using its Saga AI software. The deal comes as Einride prepares to go public via a merger with blank-check company Legato Merger Corp. The agreement supports Amazon's goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, though it excludes Einride's autonomous cab-less pod trucks.
