AWS now supports Kiro and Cursor as remote IDEs for Amazon SageMaker Studio. Data scientists and ML engineers can connect their local Kiro or Cursor setup to SageMaker Studio via the AWS Toolkit extension, enabling access to scalable cloud compute while retaining local IDE features like spec-driven development, conversational coding, and agentic workflows. Authentication is handled through the AWS Toolkit extension or SageMaker Studio's web interface, and security boundaries remain consistent with SageMaker's web-based environments.
