Amazon SageMaker Data Agent now supports geo-specific inference for Japan and Australia via JP-CRIS and AU-CRIS (Cross-Region Inference profiles) through Amazon Bedrock. Inference requests from the Asia Pacific (Tokyo) and Asia Pacific (Sydney) regions are processed exclusively within their respective geographies over the AWS Global Network. This enables customers in regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, and the public sector to meet data residency and sovereignty requirements while using Data Agent's full capabilities, including AI-powered data exploration, Python and SQL code generation, troubleshooting, and analytics within SageMaker Unified Studio.
