Amazon Redshift Serverless now offers 3-year Serverless Reservations, a new pricing option providing up to 45% cost savings on analytics workloads. Users commit to a specific number of Redshift Processing Units (RPUs) for a 3-year term with a no-upfront payment option. Reservations are managed at the AWS payer account level, can be shared across multiple AWS accounts, and are billed hourly with per-second metering. Usage beyond the reserved RPU level is charged at standard on-demand rates. The feature is available in all regions where Redshift Serverless is offered and can be purchased via the Redshift console or the new 'create-reservation' API.
