Amazon Redshift Serverless now supports queue-based query resource management, allowing you to create dedicated query queues with customized monitoring rules for different workloads. Previously, Query Monitoring Rules applied uniformly at the workgroup level; now you can assign distinct queues to specific user roles and query groups, each with independent rules. You can configure automated responses like aborting queries that exceed time or resource limits. The feature is available in all AWS regions supporting Redshift Serverless and can be managed through the AWS Console and Redshift APIs.
